DSP returns with a deep & contemplative split EP from Dublin’s Cignol & Bristol’s Gilbert. ‘Vision System’ boasts 4 machine-made, melodic electro tracks to tug on your heart strings. The record opens with ‘Events Unknowable’ an eerie example of Cignol’s distinct sound. Full of broken rhythms, swinging percussion, ice cold arpeggios, LFO warped pads and an acid line to remember.Electro doesn’t get much deeper than ‘Multicellular’. A beautifully sorrowful sonic statement coated in icey synth elements and nostalgia. Sophisticated simplicity at its finest.Gilbert takes us in a slightly more utopic direction on the flip side. Starting with the musical insight of ‘Harmony In Space’. A Dream laced vision for the future full of smooth synthesis, crisp basslines and pumping percussion. The release comes to a heartfelt conclusion with ‘Eleni’. Full of playful acid lines and expressive sonic elements. A loved up, euphoric masterpiece named after and dedicated to Gilbert’s daughter.
After a first dancefloor-oriented release, Vilamar open their second editorial line dedicated to more narrative explorations with this sonorous 6-track mini album, written and composed in 2019 by Hiroma Keo. Formal yet experimental, each track plays with textural contrasts, gossamer lightness brushing up against uncompromising density. The result is a thing of austere beauty: from the cinematic opener to the climactic rush of the finale you will find shimmering arpeggios, industrial polyrhythms and, at one point, even an unabashedly 80s synth lead. Made in Lisbon, but with its gaze fixed firmly beyond the horizon.
Out for the first time on vinyl since it's original release in 1994, “Inspiration” is a house classic that needs no introduction. A blockbuster in the house hall of fame, Arnold Jarvis' iconic vocal sits seamlessly on what would become the signature rough tumble Kerri sound.
Couple of years in the making, our close friend Z@P is presenting his first album with a new alter ego: Signal Kommt.
Completely unorthodox production techniques employed by one of Spain’s maestros from the 80’s, THANKYOU brings back one of Julian Ruiz’s craziest productions that come with a potential threat to any well tuned HiFi system (careful at 1:26 on A side). A remarkable dubby/italo rhythm section sets the foundation for a dreamy melody that won’t be forgotten so easily. Inspired in Indian mythology, “El Genio De Los Pies Rojos” is a masterpiece that will take any tasteful dancefloor to serious heights. Includes 2 other shorter titles from the album originally released in 1986.
