It’s more fun to make things together. That’s why the second Snaretrade EP is all about pairs:Two tracks made with two different friends, in the early/late hours of the day.Camiflage sat down in the home studio with all-round nice guy Jakob to make Pony Perseverance, a carefree, tongue-in-cheek house excursion. DX Problems was made in collaboration with Basic Moves’ Walrus. Reminiscent of a walk in the park, even though its creation involved a lingering headache and many obstacles in trying to get a DX21 to cooperate.
Roche madame is happy to welcome long time friend Felipe Valenzuela for it’s next installment.
Timehri Records are back with another trip into intergalactic Crud, delivering more timeless physical output for the ongoing journey. Up next is UK underground stalwart and Boiler Room label takeover guest Yosh. The South Londoner has made a name for himself for his signature break-step sounds, delivering projects for various UK imprints since his pre-rona emergence.Fresh off the back of his 100% production mix for the label’s reputable cassette series, Yosh delivers a weighty three tracker showcasing both sides of his arsenal.
The second single-artist EP on Nuances de Nuit comes courtesy of the ever impressive Velvet Velour, releasing four intricately-produced, enchanting pieces of electronic music out into the universe.
Garage Hermétique, returns with a new EP of music from Views, presenting the ‘Kyoto Love’ EP. An alias of Atilla Fidan - producer & live performer, founder of the Berlin label Tape Archive, and also known for releases as Waitress/ASWA - each of the four tracks hits a naturalistic groove driven by vintage Chicago-esque rhythms and warm, acidic tones. On opening and title-track ‘Kyoto Love’, charming bird song flourishes into a rubbery bassline. ‘Go Well (Part 2)’ embarks on a similar tip, before loosening up into a soaring, somewhat new-age atmosphere, while never sacrificing it’s watertight drums. On the flip, ‘Kimura’ and ‘Systems (Last Mix)’ move in deeper directions still; The former is a sparkling, detailed cut that rolls out nocturnal dance floor depth, while the latter rounds off the release with transcendent choral breaks.
Tresydos presents Time For Spirits EP, their release número 7. German producer Atree is in charge of delivering this 4-tracker filled with fresh housey vibes and contagious grooves.
