Paris-based label focuses on the work of EMAU, a Portuguese producer, Dj and fashion designer living between Lisbon & Fukuoka.

After launching Remember 430 with Dishmo’s debut EP, the Paris-based label focuses on the work of Mariana EMAUZ Valdetaro, a Portuguese producer, DJ and fashion designer living between Lisbon and Fukuoka in Japan. We are thrilled to release her debut album, which is also the label’s first LP, featuring artwork created by up-and-coming Leipzig artist Lion Sauterleute.

With its sincere bangers such as the compelling THE ROOM and the relentless FADO, its deeper cuts like the outstanding SO LOW, the sensual SHADES OF EMPTY and the bouncy digital bonus 16 HOURS and with its intros, outros and other interludes, it’s easy to approach THROUGH as a run of the mill club LP. But it’s so much more than that.

Using the grammar of club music, EMAUZ creates lush, hypnotic tunes, reduced in their design, operating as Ganzfeld goggles of sorts so that out of the repetition inherent to any loop-based music, the listeners’ mind can conjure images and sensations that are theirs and theirs alone.

And so, after listening to the album and playing it in a variety of contexts for almost a year before its release, it is now clear that THROUGH is a soundtrack. It is the soundtrack for the journeys life asks you to take, both inwards and outwards. It is an album about movement, transition, and the passage from one physical side or state of mind to the other.

It is ready for the dancefloor, but in fact invites you to take the energy and clear- headedness prolonged club sessions so often provide, and to harness it when you’re on the move, on foot or in a vehicle, in cities, in nature or in the sky, or when you are listening to it with your eyes closed lying down. It is this dimension that seemed unique and remarkable to me and that made me want to share this music with the world. Keep going, you'll make it through the other side.

Dublin producer Lukey has his finger firmly on the pulse of the sounds emanating from Berlinand London’s newly awakening dancefloors, as proven by this stellar debut for Carpet &Snares’ LAB series. Contemporary club music is all about opening up the space betweengenres and filling it with something at once referential and new, and this EP is no exception.Other Worlds Vol. 1 effortlessly blends house, techno, electro and breaks into a mature soundworld that’s both tight and expansive, funky and tough, contemplative and right down tobusiness. Delsin continues to celebrate the overlooked brilliance of Simon Walley's exquisite electronica works as CiM with a deluxe reissue of his 2000 debut album Reference. Spanning 24 beautifully crafted miniatures, this is one of the definitive overviews of Walley's intimate, introspective electro-techno sound. From the crunch of bit-crushed drums to dreamy, swooning pads, everything in the CiM soundworld feels positively considered and elegant. His music has attracted a devoted following from those immersed in the world of deep techno and electronica. The concise run times of his musical ideas ensures there's not an inch of plastic wasted on elongated intros or endless repetition. That said, fitting the whole of Reference onto one disc for the original deFocus pressing was something of a squeeze, with some tracks reserved for the CD only. With this newly mastered pressing, all 24 tracks are present across two 12"s, giving Walley's peerless sound more room to breathe. Delsin and sister label Ann Aimee have a relationship with Walley that reaches back to the late 90s, and they picked the thread of communication up last year with timely reissues of the Service Pack and Series Two EPs. Earlier in 2021, Delsin also released Unselected ProTracker Mods, a collection of previously unreleased archival works from a furtive but undoubtedly prolific artist.

Garage Hermétique, returns with a new EP of music from Views, presenting the ‘Kyoto Love’ EP. An alias of Atilla Fidan - producer & live performer, founder of the Berlin label Tape Archive, and also known for releases as Waitress/ASWA - each of the four tracks hits a naturalistic groove driven by vintage Chicago-esque rhythms and warm, acidic tones. On opening and title-track ‘Kyoto Love’, charming bird song flourishes into a rubbery bassline. ‘Go Well (Part 2)’ embarks on a similar tip, before loosening up into a soaring, somewhat new-age atmosphere, while never sacrificing it’s watertight drums. On the flip, ‘Kimura’ and ‘Systems (Last Mix)’ move in deeper directions still; The former is a sparkling, detailed cut that rolls out nocturnal dance floor depth, while the latter rounds off the release with transcendent choral breaks.
